2012 Top 10 Wrist Watch Best for Sport Person

Dear Readers,

I am no sports person, but when it comes to wrist watch I really wanted to owned everyone that is available in the market. of cause only the best then again the best always comes with a price tag that is beyond my affordability.

In the old days watch is design to tell us the time of the day, it all started with a clock, then classic brilliant person thought why not I turn this clock small enough to fit in my pocket.

Do you know how the word clock came to exist? well according to wikipedia "The word clock is derived ultimately (via Dutch, Northern French, and Medieval Latin) from the Celtic words clagan and clocca meaning "bell"..

Earliest dated watch known from 1530 - Wikipedia
Again according to wikipedia "Watches evolved from portable spring-driven clocks, which first appeared in 15th century Europe. Watches weren't widely worn in pockets until the 17th century. One account says that the word "watch" came from the Old English word woecce which meant "watchman", because it was used by town watchmen to keep track of their shifts. Another says that the term came from 17th century sailors, who used the new mechanisms to time the length of their shipboard watches (duty shifts)."

Like I mentioned before in the olden days watch is design to tell us just time, it allow us to be punctual in our meetings, appointments, dating and many more.

As technology progresses into a more advance stage, watch not only tells us time, it also has many more add on feature to entice the younger generations.

Here are top 10 watches designed for athlete.

Timex SL Series T2M7586K

Function meets form in the Timex SL Series men’s sports watch. Punctuality is only one of the features this watch boasts. With luminescent hands, chronograph functionality and water resistance, this watch can assist in any of your next adventures. We especially love the stainless steel finish and the quality of the watch’s design – a signature of the Timex brand.

Victorinox Swiss Army Summit XLT 241338

Quality, functionality and features are the Victorinox Swiss Army Summit XLT's strongest traits. This chronograph has functions capable of tracking time, speed and distance. If you are training for a race, marking distance at sea or performing any similar activity, the XLT is sure to enhance your preparation.

Casio AMW320B-1AV
Not your average chronograph, the Casio AMW320B-1AV men's sports watch sets itself apart from the pack with both an analog and digital clock option. The digital chronograph seems to solve many of the problems you may have with a strictly analog watch; you don't need a separate night mode to read time in the dark, and you don't need three additional dials on the watch face to track split time or other dual increments. The AMW320B-1AV is also water resistant up to 100M. Casio provides fantastic help and support system for its products.

Luminox EVO Navy SEAL A.3051

The Luminox EVO Navy SEAL exemplifies the government organizations it caters to: it is durable, long lasting and always ready. Its design is intended to stand up over time, even in the worst conditions. We are especially impressed with the watch's light technology that ensures constant illumination for up to 25 years.
Seiko Sportura SNAE67

Seiko has been in the watch-making business for a long time. The company may have even been the first manufacturer of wristwatches with its release of the Laurel in 1913 in Japan. The company has come a long way since then with its Seiko Sportura SNAE67, a men's sports watch with all of the functionality you would need. Whether you're an athlete looking for a training watch or someone looking for an everyday watch, the functionality of the Sportura fits both worlds.
Bulova Accutron Kirkwood 65A100

We'll admit we were a little star struck by the Bulova Accutron Kirkwood's good looks, but when we looked closer, the included features also impressed us. This men's sports watch has more than a pretty face. It can resist water up to 200M, measure speed and distance with its rotating bezel and keep track of your best race times with its built-in chronograph.
T-RACE Gent 2010 T048.417.27.057.00

The Tissot T-RACE Gent 2010 is as sporty as men's sports watches get. Its sleek design and multi-functional features make it ideal for a casual athlete or someone training for a marathon. A built-in chronograph can help track your best times, a tachymeter bezel can measure your speed and distance, and the water resistance will protect the watch's internal mechanisms while you are swimming.
Invicta Pro Diver 8932

The Invicta Pro Diver men's sports watch is powered by the latest in quartz technology and has the best diver-specific features of any watch on our lineup. It doesn't have chronograph functionality or a very comprehensive warranty, but the features it does boast, outweighs those it lacks.
Timex Ironman T5K354HC

The Timex Ironman is a watch that every serious Ironman competitor should have. It can help with your training whether you're swimming, running or biking. After you're done training for the day, the watch is designed well enough to act as an out-on-the-town watch. We only wish Timex offered a better warranty and a more user-friendly instruction manual.
Citizen WR100 AT0810-12E

The Citizen WR100 men's sports watch is one of the best looking in our lineup of the top 10 products. We love the quality details like the leather watchband and the included five-year warranty. We're sure the solar-powered functionality works fantastically, but we're not entirely sold on the idea yet.
My pick of these many great watches will be the T-RACE Gent 2010 by TISSOT. I have always been a fan of TISSOT, I will really go and check out with this watch. Now I pick my personal choice, what is your choice?

Cars ARE GREENER in 2012

Dear Readers,

Every industry players is trying to go green, an effort to saved the world from environmental destruction as a result of our efforts grow all in the name of economic and industrial development.

One of the steps taken is to produce green vehicle, ver the year researchers have been trying to miniaturise a technology that would fit in a small car and eventually this development will fit in a normal sedan car or even an SUV that would equally the speed of a normal car that runs on fossil fuel.

Do you know that the first electric cars began in europe? well according to the green car website "Between 1832 and 1839, the first crude electric carriage was invented and electric cars soon began to flourish in Europe due to the fact that they ran quieter and smoother than other cars."

Imagine if the development of electric car continues since it was first created, we would be drive a car that runs on electrical instead of petrol. The mass production of fossil fuel car that cost lower and speed capability is far more better than an electric car has made its development stopped for several decade until int the year 1973 when the fuel crisis began to emerge has spark interest in the development of alternative fuel. Basically the oil crisi has made electric car concept a new jump start, but the idea f an electric run car was never a serious concept to look in to. only in the early 1980s and 90s the idea of an electric cars started to get serious.

And it all began in Switzerland where an unusual race to promote alternative fuel to run a car began in the Tour de Sol or famously known as Solar Car Race the anual race started in 1985 until 1995. Since then many car industry players has began to develop their own design concept of electric car.

By the turn of the millenium, electric powered car or other alternative fuel powered concept cars has began to evolved steadily, the first fully commercialized passenger cars began with the birth of a hybrid vehicle a car that run part rechargeable energy storage system and a part fueled power source car and this has reduced the gap of realizing a full frame green car, and it is believed that green car is no longer a concept or a vision instead it is very much a present thing. In Malaysia the first ever hybrid car was introduced is the Toyota PRIUS made available in 2007 later the Hybrid version Lexus RX400h was produced as a larger version of Hybrid car. Honda later follow suit to introduced their very first Hybrid vehicle dubbed the Honda Civic Hybrid (correct me if I am wrong with this information). since then this 2 hybrid players is I believed the only hybrid car in Malaysia to date..

They year is 2012 there are more Hybrid cars coming up, not in Malaysia but every where around the world. so what are the cars will be or has already been available to all? Here are the list of cars to that I have gathered from a web site www. nextgreencar.com

A glimp of our National Carrier MAS newest fleet member....

Hi Readers..

In my previous post, I talked about how my daughter enjoyed her vacation to KL...especially when it come to aeroplane, unlike KK there is not many aircrafts can be seen well mostly 737-400, 737-800, ATR operated by MAS Wing, A320-200 operated by AirAsia.

Anyway since reading about the Air Bus A380 , I was so amaze of its size, design as well as the technology it carries inside this huge Commercial Aircraft designed and produced by Airbus, is believe to allow lower operating cost per passenger as well as increase fuel efficiency and performance. (www.wikipedia.com)

In my previous post about the A380, I also mentioned that I first seen the A380 while I was on my return trip from training in Singapore. the was in 2007 cant recall the exact date but it was in Changi Airport that I saw the Aircraft, It was a huge aircraft when compared to the other aircarft  beside the SIA A380, it was like a trailer and a small mini car in comparison.

Anyway, the MAS A380 newest family member. wouldn't it be great if the A380 will fly on domestic route, then I will have the opportunity the experience the comfort of our National Carrier MAS has to offer to all Malaysians. setting in the Y class of A380 is good enough for me and my family..

So here are some shots I took during my return holiday trip with my family in KLIA domestic terminal. I can only felt so amaze from the eternal view.. watching the MH002 from afar is so breath taking what more if I am actually inside of the MH002 or MH003. That would awesome.

Amazing Vacation...

Hi Readers,

This year is my daughter's best holiday ever. my wife and I thought it was good if we change our holiday plan, which was at first our shopping trip to KL will only be the two of us. Since our eldest princess is 4 year old I thought it will be a good idea if we tag her along and let her enjoy her school holiday, since she has already completed all her holiday homework in advance.

Since this is her first holiday vacation...you should have seen her excitement...I wonder if this happens to all kids with first time vacation experience. Anyway it was a tiring holiday...all the can you carry me please...daddy I am so tired... can we go back now...mummy I want KFC...and many more....carrying her was the most tiring one... but she had the best shopping experience ever..55% of the items we purchased are all hers...well the remaining 45% is considered as others...

You haven't seen during flight hour...as soon as we fly...about 20 minutes later she fell asleep but woke up just about 1 hour later..and on our return trip to KK (Short for Kota Kinabalu) before boarding Kendra fell asleep this this time she fell asleep until we are about the land at KKIA (KK international Airport).

Here are some the the photos taken during her 2nd experience in the Airport...

Kendra Watching on the Aeroplane
Kendra Pointing towards one of the Aeroplane
Kendra Flying and insisting me to take photo of her flying
Happily flying..."Daddy take picture see I am flying"
Kendra is flying high up inside the airport
Kendra is flying
Kendra is looking on from the airport window
Kendra is enjoying the view
Watching on from the departure hall

Samsung Galaxy Note.....2nd Gadget.. (Part 1)

Dear Readers,

Remember on my previous post... well I posted it yesterday. I talked about, well kinda showing of my gadgets which I already owned this year.

Yesterday was my new MacBook Pro i7 13" laptop. Now since I have been complaining my Hp (Hand phone), having trouble reading my emails..official/personal etc...etc....etc... complaining about my old phone screen was too small to read all my emails. too outdated.. any for the many reason to convince my wife that it time for me to get a new hand phone, tablet phone, smart phone or and Android phone.

after almost a month of searching, what phone should I take... and here are my list of phones/tablet being considered.

  1. iPhone 4s (Already in the market since 2011)
  2. iPhone 5 (Not so sure yet.. too many rumours going on around about the release dates)
  3. Samsung Nexus ( Already in the market)
  4. Samsung Note (Already in the market)
  5. HTC Android phone..cant recall which type (But its already in the Market too)
The iPhone 4s is one of my favourite choice but with iPhone is due to be release this year so getting an iPhone 4s will not be suitable at the moment. Like I have mentioned in my top list of phone iPhone 5 is not going to be here so soon...with some rumours saying it might be in June... the latest rumours are it might be somewhere September or maybe October and it will not be in November...but only APPLE knows the grand release of iPhone5..

The there is the Samsung product of Android Phones.. with my 3 top choice are the all new Samsung Nexus which runs with the Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich, its slim and curvy design look nice but the screen is a little too small when it come to reading an email...well of cause iPhone 4s and 5 might be smaller  too.. anyway then I turn to the other Samsung Galaxy Note.. this is a new design from Samsung its a phone but its size makes it looks like a tablet and mini tablet to my opinion. it runs on Android Gingerbread an older version of the Android OS. at the moment Samsung states that it plans to upgrade Nexus to Adroid OS V4.x...when I don't have a clue yet. but according to an article I read Galaxy Note upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich will not be available until the 2nd Qtr of 2012. will there be another delayed...we'll see about that.

Then there is the HTC Android phone...basically HTC has a great design too when it come to Android Smartphone. but the downside for HTC is that all HTC smartphone do not have video call  feature...you can only make a video calls via Skype.. but maybe because HTC designers think that the the features are already in most of smartphone that are available in the market but nobody wants to use video calls anyway...so why bother putting this feature on anyway...but that is just my theory...

So finally the winning choice was the Samsung Galaxy Note... the size is not to big and its not too small either..

Notes run on a Dual-core 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor.  as far as i know it, Notes has a 2 types sizes of internal memory a 16GB and the 32GB internal memory size upgradable to 32 GB if you have a 16GB internal memory upgrade via external memory Micro SD.

Feature wise looks OK lah....nothing fancy... but the photo editing feature looks cool... you can crop..any other photo editing function (basic photo editing functions)

Galaxy Notes touch sensitive screen is quite smooth...So it cost me RM1999... at the time of purchase but few days later the price has gone down to around RM1800++

So here it is... My very own Samsung Galaxy Note...

Avengers - 2012

Hey....Yup The Avengers is out on the 27th April 2012... and I booked 2 tickets (for me and my wife) on the 26th April 2012, it was a 20:50 (0850pm) show... and boy I just cant wait to watched this movie...

It was 0700pm I decided to be there 1hour and 50 minutes early.. have our dinner at 1B shopping Mall, then proceed to a long hour window shopping.

So the cinema is almost packed with cinema goers. especially when this is The Avengers we are talking about...

Anyway...its show time.. The movie starts with The current S.H.I.E.L.D Director Nick Fury  (Samuel L Jackson) arrives at a remote S.H.I.E.L.D. research facility during an evacuation. The Tesseract, an energy source of unknown potential, has somehow been activated and able to self sustained it self even when the power source is forced to shut down and this opens a portal through space from which the exiled Loki (Tom Hiddleston) steps through. Loki takes the Tesseract and uses his abilities to take control of the minds of several S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel including Dr. Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) and Agent Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) to aid him in his getaway.

The movie starts which I  almost thought it was some how boring... then just when the fighting starts right after Loki was caught by the Avengers, which he purposely allowed himself to be caught, and when he manages to angered the HULK - Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo)  and Loki Manages to escape. during this time Thor (Chris Hemsworth) has already joint The Avengers team to help secure his brother Loki and bring him back to Asgard, but the attempt to safely brings Loki back to Asgard failed instead chaos has instead when Loki through his mind controlled Dr Selvigs with the power source from Stark Tower manages to reopens the portal thus allowing the Chitauri armada to invade earth..

But the attempt to invade earth failed by the Chitaury...The Avengers manages to stop this from happening. with IRON Man - Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) almost lost hi life manages to divert a nuclear missile release instructed by the other Directors /Council to targets at Manhattan to stop the invasion from escalating.

Anyway this movie is a must see movie... and I might be going a another round to watch The Avengers this time I'll be wathing the 3D version..

I would rate this movie a 5 star rating... This is also an Action Movie Plus a little bit of funny/comedy scene...

How does the Avengers Perform in term of Gross earnings?
(Sources from www.hollywood.com)

'The Avengers' from Marvel and Disney assembled an incredible $80.517 million on Friday.

This is the second best single-day gross in box office history behind only 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2' and its opening day gross of $91,071,119.

The achievement is all the more impressive given that 'Potter' had record-breaking midnight grosses of $43.5 million while 'The Avengers' earned "only" $18.7 million in its midnight screenings.

Could 'The Avengers' have a shot at besting the opening weekend record held by 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2' of $169.2 million?

Well, a CinemaScore of A+ should generate sufficient word-of-mouth to propel the film to at least a spot in the top five openings of all-time. IMAX as always contributed big to this performance with 8% of the gross derived from their big screen locations.

The 3D showings were also a hit with an estimated 60% of the gross coming from these screens.

The film's worldwide results are equally impressive with another $30.3 million added to its international total on Friday and already $334.3 million total in the international marketplace.

Add on the $80.5 million on Friday in North America and the film has a $414.8 million worldwide total that will have it on track to exceed half a billion dollars in global box office by Sunday night!

Avengers Assemble indeed!  Yes Indeed They are....

Check out their summary earnings...

Check out these global Gross Box Office figures:

The Avengers estimated results for Friday May 4:

  • International : $30.3M
  • Domestic      : $80.5M

The Avengers cumulative performance to date:

  • Domestic GBO   : $80.5M
  • Int’l GBO          : $334.3M
  • Global GBO       : $414.8M

My latest Gadget...

Hi Readers,

How is your day? to all my Malaysian readers, how is your weekend (Saturday)? I hope you had a fun as well as great Saturday.

Last month both myself and my wife decided to get a new gadget...well actually these gadgets are actually for me....yeah...gadgets...

my first choice was should I get and MacBook Air or a MacBook Pro... and should I get an 13" i5 or 15" i5? or should I just go for the 13" i7....

The sales person told me that with 13" i5 with HDD of 500GB the performance is sufficient enough for a basic photo editing as well as video editing, and I must say Apple does have the performance track in their MacBook  product line.

But with 13" i7 with a HDD size of 750GB is more towards my personal choice. Then there is the MacBook Air.. its slim as well as slick design makes a MacBook future owners felt irresistible feelings to ignore it.. but again if I were to choose Book Air.... I would need to fill in my bag an extra External HDD and not to mentioned a external CD ROM.

After a long thought finally the verdict came out from my mind... I will be the newest MacBook Pro proud owner..yes I chose the 13" i7 with a 750GB HDD size.

For so long I have been wanted to have my very own Apple MacBook...and finally my dream has come true..

Want to know what is my 2nd gadget? well I'll post it in my next post... Anyway.. now should I get a new iPad? or should I just settled with my good old iPod Tough 3G... but my 4 year old daughter has been hinting me to get an iPad of my own....

We'll see, THe new ipad has just arrived KK (Sabah-Malaysia), well actually 3 weeks ago...so I kinda hooked up with this new iPad, though the feature is not much of a different with the previous iPad2  but the image quality and the camera auto focus capability and among other things enough to make me consider to own my 3rd new gadget...

Looks like 2012 is the year of the gadget for me....LoL

Imagine your BMW body made entirely out of Cloth...

Hi Readers,

It has been a while since my last post... been away for quite a while, busy on something else. anyway, I found this most amazing article and out of the box design for a car. Thought I'd share it with you all...

A that most of you probably familiar with. Its the BMW... Yes meet GINA. the most creative yet bizarre idea came from BMW's engineers and designers allows its owner to change the shape of their BMW as they pleased.

the materials used in this BMW GINA is made entirely out of a specially create seamless fabric which stretched over a movable metal frame, but this design is just a concept design. so BMW lovers this is just one toys that you can not have.

Imagine if this design really made it into the market, and if anything happens to this BMW of yours imagine this will be the first words that come out from your mouth " Oh S**T my BMW just torn apart" or try this "Let's UNZIPPED my BMW and see what's inside".... hehehe..

Since this design allows driver to change the shape at will. with voice activation feature this will be the best words to use to change the shape your your BMW-GINA ..." TRANSFORMED..." how cooooool is that yeah...

Again it is an out of the box design... just watch this YouTube and be amaze what a group of designers, engineer, visionaries think out of the box..

GINA was built six years a ago and its name actually stands for "Geometric and Functions in 'N' Adaptation. According to BMW, GINA was built on the Z8 chassis and has a 4.4-liter V8 and six-speed automatic transmission. BMW says the fabric skin – polyurethane-coated Lycra – is resilient, durable and water resistant. It’s stretched over an aluminum frame controlled by electric and hydraulic actuators that allow the owner to change the body shape.
