MAC OS X : Mountain Lion (10.8)

Dear Readers,

As you all know that few days ago, Apple CEO Tim Cook has announced that they will be releasing their latest edition in Operating System that run in all MAC product.

Well I have been waiting for this to come and finally I am able to down load it on the 26th July I started download it using my Celcom 3G broadband, with a download speed of 3Mbps. the file size its downloading is so huge. So 2 hours later I decided to download it from my office.

With the speed of approximately 100Mbps, the whole process of downloading and installing the MAC OS X Mountain Lion took slightly about 4 hours long, well its with the wait and once the installation is completed when you check you about MAC from your MAC Book menu bar you will see that your OS version will be 10.8 a.k.a Mountain Lion.

My first look and brief review of the new OSx Mountain Lion.

Upon restarting I found that now user have to option to choose either log in as guest or login as the configured user access ID. If you are upgrading it from the previous version of OSx the your original user profile will remained unchanged.

Next I tried one of the many new features, the current version of OSx has a iCloud feature, so I tried to register. it was a short procedure. once completed you need to create a permanent iCloud email account it looks something like xxx.icloud. once you are done with the icloud registration, you can start uploading all your files to Apples iCloud. Once you have completed the registration and creation of your personal iCloud email account. it will proceed to guid you on what you can upload to your iCloud account. To do that a window will pop out that has the exact iCon settings from iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch. this will be the first step of integrating all MAC gadgets into one single iCloud platform. once the latest edition of IOS being introduce this September, you files will be with you where ever you are, as long as all you MAC gadget is connected to iCloud.

Next I tried the new web explorer Safari, I am not sure if there is any obvious changes or improvement, but the search speed has improved tremendously. there is also one more new features introduced the tab view, I find this feature helps a lot when I have multiple page opened, switching between tab by just swiping your two fingers over the trackpad. If your noticed it safari also added an icloud icon which allows you to continue viewing last browsed web from your other Apple gadget such as iPad, iPod or even from your iPhone.

The email part, well you need to reinstall/update the email application. basically it will automatically advice and guide you through out the process. once the update is completed your previous configured email settings will remained unchanged, so you don have to worry about loosing your old emails. all you have to do is synchronise you email and you can continue reading your newest emails. but there is also one added account, remember I mentioned about the icloud email account. well it have been added in as an additional email account. I guess that is the reason why we need to update our email application, it basically for the icloud email account.

Another feature that has been introduced in this new OSx is the notification bar which is located on the far right of your MAC screen, this feature is useful. it allows me to instantly view any new emails without the need to open the email application.

According to APPLE there are about 200 new and improved features in the new OSx Mountain Lion. The Launch pad and mission control has also experience some improvement, for example Dashboard has a new search feature, named widget browser, which allows its users to search and add widget much more easier.

To know more about the new OSx Mountain Lion, please watch the youtube video below for other information about the new MAC OSx

I hope you find this post some what useful and thank you for your time. on my personal note, the new Mountain Lion looks on to a good start. since its launching there are more than 3 million download recorded as reported by APPLE.

Samsung Galaxy Note Vs Samsung Galaxy Note II

Dear Readers,

We have heard that Samsung will be introducing their latest Phablet into the market this year, rumored has it that it will be on the October of 2012 since its predecessor The Samsung Galaxy Note was also introduce on the October of 2011. if this is true, then Note II will be ready to be market exactly 1 year after the launch of Galaxy Note.

What are the technical specs going to be look like for this new Note II. the obvious upgrade we'll be seeing will be the processor. The Android OS will be unclear, there are sources that mentioned Samsung might be going for Latest Android OS 4.1 Jelly Bean, if so then this will save us the trouble to do the upgrading once it is ready for Samsung Note II. I had my Samsung Note under 2.3 Ginger Bread and later upgrade to Android 4.0.3 last month and later Android 4.0.4 last week. Anyway Note II will be better if note much more better than its predecessor.

If you wanted to know the differences between Note and Note II, I have prepare a more simplify comparison between the two. Bare in mind the specs for Note Ii is just a rumored spec which I gathered from the internet source. but the elder Note is the actual spec.

I hope the table below is sufficient enough to give you a summary picture of how the New Galaxy Note II going to be look like once release come this October 2012.

Weirdest Car Concept for the future... (Electric Car)

Each year, car industry players always comes up with a concept car design. remember a concept car is design that might not even reach into the production line. But designs of the concept basically will give us an idea how the future car will look like if it really reach the production line and eventually into the annual car show.

Well to more design concept the better right, but at one point the concept become so weird that even we ask our self are we really going to drive this car? Anyway let us have a look at the concept car...the weediest concept ever to reach the drawing board.

COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT FOR THE FUTURE...

Dear Readers,

Now a days, the time to reach from point A to point B has been reduced significantly. with the technology expand aircraft are getting bigger yet at the same time eco-friendly. So what does the future aircraft has to offer, as the volume of air travelers are growing airline industry players are now looking for other method to travel faster as well as pollution free, when we say pollution free, meaning noise as well as environmental pollution free aircraft.

According to a report from the Business Insider,  NASA has been taking the role in challenging the airline industry to produce a more eco-friendly, quieter as well as more fuel efficient type of passenger aircraft. To kick start this initiative NASA has awarded 3 key players to study and test their design for the year 2030. If this program is a success these conceptual aircraft should hit the skies as early as 2025.

If this research and test has accomplished it key objectives,  Then we will be able to see these aircraft flying over our heads without knowing they are really there...

Ready to see what does the airline industry has in their designed shelf?

Here are the designs concept....

A "boxed-wing" design from Lockheed Martin increases fuel efficiency.
Advanced Model for Extreme Lift and Improved Aeroacoustics cuts down on takeoff and landing times.
Boeing's design features two vertical tails next to turbofan engines to reduce noise pollution. Long-span wings improve fuel-efficiency.
Boeing's green aircraft design uses a combination of gas and battery technology.
Lockheed Martin hopes to introduce civil supersonic flight with new technologies to quiet the level of sonic boom (which currently prevents over-land flight).

Lockheed Martin makes supersonic flight over land possible through an "inverted V" engine-under wing design that reduces the level of sonic boom.
Lockheed Martin uses a lightweight box-wing design. Its engine has a bypass ratio (the flow of air around the engine compared to through the engine) almost five times greater than current engines.

North Grumman's "flying wing" aircraft would carry cargo first, and then passengers.

The "Icon II" design by Boeing meets target noise levels to make supersonic flight over land feasible.
The Silent Efficient Low Emissions Commercial Transport, or SELECT, from Northrop Grumman can carry 120 passengers at Mach .75.
This concept by North Grumman incorporates features of military aircraft into conventional aircraft design. The engines are tucked into the top of the wings to reduce noise.

I wonder how would the european airline industry player have in mind for their future aircraft concept..

Batmobile... since 1966 - 2012

Dear Readers,

The Batman franchise movie has made another stunning comeback, since the last Batman movie - Dark Knight, fans all around the world has been waiting for the next chapter of Batman movies "Dark Knight Rises"

This series is believed the be the last in this series, featuring Batman (Christian Bale) which is going to include 3 of the most famous villain, Bane (Tom hardy), Ra's Ah Ghul (Liam Neeson), Cat Woman (Anne Hathaway).

now as mentioned in this post, the real topic is actually talks about the designs of Batman mobility, yes its the non other than the Bat Mobile. since 1966 we have seen many changes in the Bat Mobile, especially in the modern 21st century Batman Batman Begins (2005), Batman - Dark Knight (2008) and the most recent Batman - Dark Knight Rises (2012).

Let us take a look at the Bat mobile 1966, this was the first batman movie. Adam West stared as Batman while Burt Ward as Robin, and include 4 famous villain, they are The Joker (Cesar Romero), The Riddler (Frank Gorshin), The Penguin (Burgess Meredith) and Finally the Cat Woman (Lee Meriwether).

As you can see this is a 2 seater Bat Mobile, and of course the passenger is none other then Robin....

Although the first bat man movie was a huge success, since then Batman has been watch in Series. until 1989.

1989 was Batman second shot at the Hollywood big screen. The character of Batman was starred by Micheal Keaton and the villain was a corrupt mob played by jack Nicholson who later became the Joker. This was the only villain featured in this Batman movie. The design of the 1989 bat mobile was a long and sleek mobile, built on the Chevy Corvette.

This Bat mobile was also being featured in the 1992 Batman movie, Batman Returns which was the second series where the starring role played by Micheal Keaton. the villain in this sequel was the Cat Woman (Michelle Pfeiffer) while the Penguin (Danny DeVito). The Peguin believed that he will become the next Gotham mayor and he believed that his dream becoming a mayor of Gotham will be made possible with the hep of his Penguins Army, and Batman will try to stop his plan, but it become complicated with the help of Cat Woman..

Lets have a look at the 1989 and 1992 Bat mobile..

In 1995 Batman Forever was release, this time the Batman role was taken over by Val Kilmer, this time the  Batman franchise movie decided that they wanted to reintroduce Robin as the young and energetic helper of Batman. Robin was starred by Chris O'Donnell. The villain this is movie was the Harvey Dent (Tommy Lee Jones) who believed that Batman was the one responsible for this accident that eventually turn him to be the Two-Face villain, and there is this Riddler villain (Jim Carrey) who wanted to control the world and at the same time wanted to expose the true identity of Batman.

This 1995 Bat mobile had a Chevrolet 350 ZZ3 high-performance motor. The body is made from a vacuum-bagged high-temperature epoxy fiberglass laminate.

Two years later in 1997 Batman and Robin return with the starring role played by George Clooney as Batman and Christ O'Donnell return again as Robin. This was considered a moderate category of Batman movie, maybe because this movie was release during the worldwide financial and economic crisis. The movie was a box office but due to poor critiques, this movie was considered as one of the poorest superhero movie ever made. in this movie Batman faced Poison Ivy, a woman capable of controlling and killing botanical life. Arnold Schwarzenegger played Mr Freeze.

The Bat mobile design includes aerodynamic chassis design and "T" axis wheelbase provided the Batmobile counterbalance gyrometric stability, allowing for high velocity 90-degree turns at speeds greater than 70 mph without losing momentum.

Now, after 8 years absence from the cinema big screen, The all new 21st century Batman movie has finally made another come back, and this time its going to be BIG one.

Directed by Chris Nolan, the 2005 was considered as a total reset to all the Batman movies since 1966 - 1997. This movie titled "Batman Begins" tells us how Bruce Wayne faced his darkest history and also his deepest fear and became Batman, the defender and protector of which his late father masterminded the creation of Gotham city. His decision to return to Gotham City after being trained by his who later became his enemy, while at the same time trying to stop and bring the city's mob bosses to justice.

The Bat Mobile where Bruce Wayne modifies a prototype military vehicle called "the Tumbler" that was designed by Wayne Enterprises Applied Sciences Division as a bridging vehicle for the military. It includes features like weaponry, and the ability to boost into a rampless jump. In the Nolan films the vehicle is never referred to as the "Batmobile". Six vehicles were built for the production of the film. Two full-sized driving versions were used in exterior shots. One full-sized model with hydraulic enhancements was used in jump sequences. One full-sized, functional version carried propane tanks to fuel the rocket blast out of the rear nozzle. A radio-controlled, 1/3-scale electric model also performed stunts in the film (e.g., the roof-top chase sequence).

In 2008 the sequel to the 2005 Batman begins, which titles "Dark Knight" includes villain Harvey Dent played by Aaron Eckhart and The Joker played by Heath Ledger, This time Batman and Harvey Dent are working together trying the bring down all the mob bosses, while at the same time Batman is facing another battle with The Joker.

This movie was a huge success with the third most highest movie grossing in the United States. Now in Chris Nolan introduces Bat pod it was shown in a scene where Batman ejects from the Batmobile in the Batpod (a motorcycle formed by the front wheels and struts of the Batmobile). Once ejected, Batman programs the Batmobile to self-destruct, the AI stating, "Goodbye" before the explosion.

The 2012 Batman Movie also directed by Chris Nolan titled "Dark Knight Rises" is believed to be the final sequel in this Batman series starred by Christian Bale as the superhero behind the Bat mask with dark leather high tech suit.

As mentioned earlier in this post, Batman will face his all time enemies Bane, Ra's Al Ghul and Cat Woman.

This time Batman will still be using his Bat mobile used during the 2005 and 2008 movies, but with another new introduction to the Bat mobile collection, Bat wing its a flying machine, I don't have the details of this Bat Mobile yet, but the "Tumbler" is still going to be playing a key role as the Bat Mobile in this 2012 Batman series.

I have not watch this movie yet, but according to times live "Citing box office insiders, The Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times, New York Times and other media outlets reported Sunday that the latest Batman sequel earned $160 million to $162 million.
That amount would best the $158.4 million debut of The Dark Knightin 2008 and give Dark Knight Rises the third-highest domestic weekend opening ever after the 3D films The Avengers with $207.4 million and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 with $169.2 million.
The Hollywood Reporter also cited box office sources who said Dark Knight Rises earned $70 million from nine of the 17 countries where it debuted over the weekend, including the United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea and Spain." To read more click here..

LifeProof Casing for your iPhone 4/4s

Hi,

I just found out there is a casing currently in the market that would protect your iPhone in any extreme situation. extreme situation I mean really in extreme scenario, base on the test that was being done by those who have already owned this amazing casing.

This casing it, you would not believed the test that has been done. take a look at the youtube and tell me what you think.

Here is a video of the actual review, of this amazing case..

A friend of mine bought one lifeProof casing for his iPhone 4s, cost him about RM300, well its RM299. so we dare him to test the case, but he would not dare to do it.. first I think its because his iPhone 4s and second of all to have his RM300 LifeProof case scratch would not be worth it....

Well too bad they don't have a LifeProof Casing for my Galaxy Note. If there is, I will definitely go grab one instantly...

To know more about this amazing casing just go to http://www.lifeproof.com.

Just for the fun of it ...let have a look at another video about this casing...

Adidas Mobility ~ Designed By Chris Duff

Hi,

I found this design while searching for any Adidas future footwear concept and thought why not share this design concept by Chris Duff.

Chris Duff is a 26 year old transport designer from Sweden. When I look into the design concept I was wondering how do I wear this shoe at first then as I really look deeper, this design is actually a vehicle, and when I look into the the design itself I found that it is quite unique an cool concept..

According to Chris,  “The Adidas Aktiv concept is a lightweight adaptive vehicle that requires as much from the user as the user does the vehicle. The vehicle incorporating Adidas and other future relevant technologies looks to create a unique off road experience that challenges the user in a number of key skills found in sport."

“In terms of the pencil work I use two types of Prismacolors, Verithin for the main sketch, then a normal Prismacolor for the darker parts to emphasise the lines.I also went to umea, where the studio environment they have there makes you learn off other people. I sometimes distort the original sketch in photoshop see if it could look better a little wider or put more perspective on it. In terms of photoshop sketch renders I use a brush I created, I stick to a theory if your sketch is loose keep the render loose, stay clear from paths unless theres an area you want to punch out in detail, I use a lot of layers on top of existing colours, I set the layer properties to overlay, then intensify the colour by building layers set to overlay making lighter each time.”

Here's are the sketchers designed by Chris Duff..

Look at the design concept of Chris Duff Adidas Mobility, the design of the wheel is what I loved most, it looks complicated, but if this design hits the market I am pretty use it will not going to be cheap. the material and design not to mentioned the R&D cost...I wonder I how much will it actually cost to have 1 sets of these wheel. Anyway Chris...again cool design and idea you have here.
Chris also made a details designed of his Adidas Mobility concept...
