IOS 6 Features Roundup..

Hello and good day everyone..

This is another new article that I found and best if I shared it with everyone, my last post well my earlier post was about the confirmed launched date of the new and next generation iPhone, then later the preparation being done for the special product launch day. 

Since the new iPhone will be launch on the 12th September 2012, prior to that APPLE will start shipping the new iPhone on the 21st September 2012. based on these dates, we are pretty sure on when the new IOS 6 will be available for download but will the new iPhone 5 comes with IOS6 we'll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out.

Anyway, lets have a short round up on what to expect from the all new IOS 6. gottabemobile.com has a BETA version of the IOS6 installed in his iPhone. I am quite impress with the improved version of voice command by APPLE name SiRI, the response towards your voice command is quite instant. Lets watch the youtube video from gottabemobile.com 

According to gottabemobile.com "Apple packs in over 200 new features into iOS 6, but most of these are behind the scenes changes user won’t notice every day. There are at least 40 new iOS 6 features you’ll care about. Of these 40 features, there are 10 to 15 that will change how you use your iPhone and iPad with iOS 6."

As you can see other that the Voice command feature SiRi, the IOS 6 will also comes with the latest MAP application created by APPLE, as replace to the previous MAP Application from Google MAP. you can watch the MAP demo from my previous post. 

Apple Maps & Turn-by-Turn Navigation

The Map application as I mentioned, is fabulous. although from the demo version point of view, I can see that the graphic is amazing. but the real measurement would be the direction. will the Apple Map Application guide us to our point of destination, or will it guide us to the point of no where we will just have to wait when it is ready for mass users. Then if the Map application really works, it will be fantastic.

Watch this video from the Cult Of Mac, this is a beta version of the new Map Application. there will be some hick ups in this demo...but the overall display of the demo from the new iPad view is pretty much amazing.

FaceTime Over Cellular

This is one of the new feature to be included in the new IOS6. this is a feature that allows us to do a video chat when ever and where ever they wanted to. 

Facebook Integration

in previous IOS versions, the iPad and iPhone is being integrated with twitter for easy access to social networking via twitter. this year when IOS 6 is release to the whole world. it will comes with Facebook being integrated and allows more information sharing over the social networking. 

according to gottabemobile the downside of this integration would be "One downside is the integration puts @facebook email address in almost every contact and int he beta it keeps adding Friend’s birthdays to my calendar as all day events, which means Siri is always telling me my day is busy and the Notification Center is jammed as well." 

hopefully the downside will remain in Beta version, once it is release. this problem will no longer exist.

Do Not Disturb

This is a new feature setting being included in the new IOS 6, The new setting lets users automatically turn Do Not Disturb on and off at set times. so you don't want to be disturb while a meeting or discussion is in progress, turn this feature on with a schedule and once the meeting is done, you wont have to worry about forgetting to switch off the do not disturb setting, as when the schedule end it will automatically revert you phone back to active mode. 

But if the calls is emergency calls, the next call will get through. hopefully the IOS will allow us to set the number of calls allowed to get through, say instead of 2 calls why not allow us to choose more than 2 calls.  say maybe we want the calls to get through if calls repeatedly made 5 time, because even some non emergency calls we tend to make repeated calls more that twice.

Other features

Apple also includes many other great features in iOS 6 including. Some of our favorite extra features are below.

• Cleaner looking app store that may not require a password for updates and free apps.
• Set Music as an alarm in the Alarms app.
• Protocol to handle sending alerts to smart watches and other devices.
• Send a phone number to a lost iPhone to reunite with the phone.
• Full-screen Safari in landscape.
• Made for iPhone hearing aid support.

So now which iPad, iPhone, iPod can download and 

experience the new IOS 6?

Apple is offering iOS 6 on the new iPhone 5 and on a large number of older iPhone devices. Not all of the devices will receive every feature, but it’s a nice gesture and something that will make some Android users jealous.
