Huge Apple Store Opening At NYC's Grand Central

Wow...Looks like Apple is going for another bigger floor, and it is going to be in Grant Central New York City. Apple current largest Store located right in the heart of one of London's busiest shopping districts, is Apple's 28th in the UK and its 300th worldwide. When The Grant Central is officially open this will be the largest store in the world for Apple.

According to the Associate Press (AP) The 23,000-square-foot personal electronics business will start selling to the public on Friday. The owner of the space, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which runs the city's bus and subway system, says Apple Inc. is paying $180 per square foot for its lease — slightly less than the $200-per-square-foot top rate at the century-old Manhattan train hub.

  

It is said that The Grand Central Terminal Apple store, the fifth to open in New York City, is about the size of two that are in London.

Apple spokeswoman Amy Bessette said company representatives would offer a media preview of the new store on Wednesday, demonstrating "key features and services." Apple announced the opening of the store on its retail website.

According to Cult of Mac has confirmed last week's gossip about Apple looking to open in Grand Central Terminal. And just in case the idea of an Apple store in a historic, star-spangled New York City landmark isn't blowing your mind, they've also dug up the detail that this one will be the largest in the world, outdoing the four-story, 40,000-square-foot Apple store in Covent Garden, London.
