Dear Readers,
in my previous post I posted about the last 10 years of VW Bettle Models, so what is it going to be look like for the 2012 model?
Here is a glimsp of the up coming 2012 Volkswagen Beetle model. according to diseno-art, the 2012 models has already been revealed in the Shanghai motor show on the evening of the opening day.
The 2012 model is said to be a little tougher is the
inspiration. Instead of taking design cues from the
ubiquitous surfer-style Beetle model, Volkswagen's designers
looked to the very first Beetles and also the Beetle
Ragster concept from 2005. Overall that means the 2012
Beetle is longer, lower and wider than the old model,
which naturally gives it a more sporting and dynamic
appearance. It's clearly not the toughest looking car
on the planet, but it certainly appeals to a wider audience.
When the car goes reaches the market, it will offer in three
trim levels: Beetle, Design and Sport. Volkswagen also promise
that there will be a wide range of optional equipment
available, ranging from Keyless Access through satellite
navigation systems and a panoramic sunroof to bi-xenon
headlights and LED daytime running lights.
Volkswagen will have a range of
four engines. Three are petrol, which includs a 1.2-litre
TSI with 105 hp, a 1.4-litre TSI producing 160 horsepower
and a 2.0-litre TSI with an impressive 200 horsepower.
While the one diesel on offer is a 1.6-litre 105 hp
unit with BlueMotion Technology. With the addition feature
of Stop/Start and battery regeneration systems in this 2012 model, the diesel
model is estimated to have a combined fuel consumption
of 65.7 mpg and carbon dioxide emissions of 112 g/km.
Resource from Volkswagen & diseno-art
very classy looking, esp the red one.
