The Farmer and the donkey

Yesterday in my blog I mentioned that we attended a program organized by my company "Celcom Wellness Program - FLOW"

At the end of the program our instructor mentioned about something which  I agreed so much. he said something like this ".....do agree that in our daily life, each time when we planned to do something, there is always someone out there trying to demotivate you, saying thing like..it cant be done, don't trouble your self to even tried it, because it will not work.."

So he told us a story about the farmer and the donkey.
(I have made some changes to the story since I cant remember the whole story, hope the message remains unchanged)

This is how the story goes.
One fine day a farmer’s donkey accidentally fell into an old well, and the farmer began to looked from his donkey. he looked every where until he hear a cried voice that came from an old well. as he lean forward and found his donkey had actually fell into the well. He then tried very hard to rescue it, he tried and tried and tried until he gave up.

Then he said to him self sadly"Trying to retrieve the donkey has been difficult, I might as well leave the donkey there" , since the donkey is old, and the well needed to be covered anyway. the farmer quickly grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that fell on top of the donkey, he would shake it off and take a step. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off. And the farmer is finally reunite with his old donkey..

The moral of the story:
In our daily life, there is always someone is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake the dirt off  your shoulder don't let the dirt burden you from moving forward and each time take a step up. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.
