THE FUTURE

Porsche Design just released a series of shoes which incorporate their Bounce S cushioning system. The soles feature a series of metal springs that apparently provide extra cushioning and flexibility. While this design is perhaps the most refined, it is certainly not the first attempt to add mechanically-enhanced bounce to people’s strides. Toy companies, for example, have been on the scene for years:
