Borneo 2011 Bird Festival - Sandakan Sabah-Malaysia

Dear Readers,

Like any other states in Malaysia, Sabah too has a lot to offer its guest who come from all over the world and like any other states we all tried to be the best host to make all our guest (tourist) to experience the best of Malaysia particularly in Sabah.

Appart from the many international events that being held anually such as City Day Open Regatta, Sabah Fest 2011, Borneo International Marathon, Borneo Island Big Bike Festival, Sabah Dragon Boat Race, Music Fest At the Tip Of Borneo and many more.

The latest event being held currently is the 13th Borneo Bird Festival, it is being held in Sandakan 14th - 16th October.

Where is Sandakan?

Sandakan is located at the North-Eastern Coast of Sabah, travelling distance by Road from Kota Kinbalu to Sandakan is approximately 229.19Km, and would take about 7 to 8 Hours drive. and the distance from Sandakan Town to the event venue Rainforest Discovery Center (RDC) is about 23Km.

13th Borneo Bird Festival

Borneo Bird Festival 2011 in Sabah Borneo. This is the third year the event is being held at the Rainforest Discovery Center (RDC) in Sepilok, Sandakan and according to statement, you are rest assured that there lots of interesting line up of events and activities for everyone to take part. The events itself has brought so many people/visitors from near and afar to Sandakan especially to birds watcher or enthusiast. While the festival is targeted towards promoting birdwatching in general, it was also open to the public where they could come and experience and participate in some of the activities here. While for the birdwatchers, many came from across the border mainly Sarawak, and Brunei D.S and even from overseas.
