Apple Television Set - expected to hit the market either by end of 2012 of by early 2013

This isn’t the first time the rumor has spread that Apple will be making a television set, but numerous sources are indicating that component suppliers and Apple insiders are saying this rumors will soon and expected to be realized by late 2012 or as early as 2013.

This venture into the television set market may seem unwise, yes we are talking about the actual television set, with the Android-based Google TV doing so poorly thus far. But an iOS-based monitor with iTunes in the Cloud integration and the full feature-set of the Apple TV devices built-in, might just be the head start to success that Apple needs.

For the late Mr. Steve Jobs a leap into consumer television segment was considered to be a little more than a hobby for the technology giant.

According to macrumor "...Rumors of an Apple-branded television have been circulating for years, but have been gaining steam following the release of the iPad as observers look to Apple's "next big thing".

So could the next big thing is the comming of Apple very own Television set which is expected to hit the market shelve by end of 2012 or in the early of 2013?

According to Steve Jobs in his biographies has hinted that the current model of Apple TV unit can plugged into a television set and stream video programming - to completely re-imagine.

as quoted in Steve jobs biographies .."I'd like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use. It would be seamlessly synched with all of your devices and with iCloud. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it."

While any specifications on an Apple TV remain unknown beyond Jobs' suggestion that it would integrate iCloud presumably with iTunes Store video content, Munster believes that Apple could sell 1.4 million television sets at an average selling price of $1800 in 2012, ramping up to 4.3 million units by 2014 as costs drop to an average selling price of $1400. Munster's estimates, which are of course essentially guesses informed by current market trends, put Apple's share of the connected TV market at 3% in 2014, with the company bringing in $6 billion in revenue from the segment.
