What is Green Computing?

By definition Green Computing is the practicing of developing, implementing, utilizing and disposing of computer and IT related infrastructure. basically an Eco-Friendly way of any IT related and computer related infrastructure with jeopardizing the environment.

According to wiki Green presently the IT industry is consuming about 3% of the world energy and with an increase rate of 20% a year. It is expected that by the year 2030 ICT energy consumption will be doubled.

When it comes to designing and implementing green computing technologies. Organizations use the Green Computing Life cycle as reference or guidelines.

The stages of Green Computing Life Cycle include Strategy, Design, Implementation, Operations and Continual Improvements.
